So I have been holding my breath. Waiting for imminent disaster to strike.
Thinking a little less of myself everyday for chances not taken.
For words left unsaid.
But today, I see how the present makes up for the past
How the future is anybody's gamble.
Today I choose to live.
I will brand each day with my own mark.
I speak with my words, not the ones that I think should please others.
I believe in my dreams.
I believe in others's dreams because it is in togetherness
that we will create a better world.
